Story Behind the Rooster Custom Paint of the Urbane Twelve Zodiac

At the very first glance of the Rooster, the word "elite" instantly came to mind. With its well-tailored suit, pointed shoes, and the Rooster's dignified head sculpture, it was decided to embrace a fashionable elite style for the entire paint scheme. Hence, the entire design concept for the custom paint took shape.

First, let's talk about the overall color scheme. The Urbane Twelve Zodiac series is known for its distinctive clothing styles. Thanks to the keen eye of sculptor Wu Wang, the dignified Rooster is dressed in a stylish and impeccable suit. Taking a bold step, a dominant shade of green was chosen as the primary color to emphasize the fashionable ambiance.

Let's start with the intricacies of the head sculpt. The Rooster's head sculpture is truly astonishing, and one can't help but marvel at the precision of sculptor Wu Wang's observations of life and attention to proportional details. It almost seems as if he has a background in poultry farming. The head sculpt is remarkably realistic, yet it combines modern elements in the treatment of feathers. Please forgive my limited vocabulary as I repeat once more – "strikingly dignified" is the phrase that comes to mind when describing my admiration for this head sculpt. As for the color scheme, I referred to numerous real-life images and ultimately settled on a combination of red skin, yellow crest, and white feathers with orange accents. Achieving the skin texture of the Rooster required a great deal of patience, using a stippling technique combined with sculpted textures to depict a granular skin texture. The beak was executed using a high-purity orange-yellow color transition. For the Rooster's eyes, multiple mixed colors were applied, followed by a layer of gloss to achieve a wet look. The feathers around the neck feature a fantasy-style lighting and shadow paint effect to make them appear more vibrant.

When it comes to the suit, apart from the bold color choices, the most detailed work went into the phoenix feather patterns on the pant legs and the phoenix motif on the back. There's a saying that a Rooster can transform into a phoenix on a tree branch. Using the phoenix as a symbol on the Rooster's suit signifies a vision of positivity and upward transformation. To maintain consistency with the rest of the series, the hand-drawn patterns were given an embroidery-like texture. The entire process was time-consuming, from creating the large-scale outlines to meticulously detailing each individual thread. The color palette for the patterns was chosen to contrast with the green background, selecting orange as the contrasting color. This approach highlights the details while ensuring that the overall color scheme doesn't become too chaotic. The pointed shoes were colored in a reddish-brown shade to complement the Rooster's primary color theme, resulting in a balanced overall composition.

In terms of the final outcome, I'm quite satisfied. It effectively captures the envisioned fashion elite style. I hope you all enjoy and support it!
